Theater Workshop

At UCF, we believe theater can drive social change by encouraging participants to explore complex themes, question assumptions, and express feelings through improvisation and physical movement. In this lively workshop, participants took on various roles, using their bodies, props, and storytelling creativity to tackle pressing social issues.

Through interactive exercises, participants examined power dynamics, interpersonal relationships, and social barriers. Some expressed ideas through symbolic movements, while others creatively incorporated props, collaborating to build a meaningful visual story that encouraged thoughtful reflection and dialogue.

This workshop highlighted theater as more than just performance, it's a dialogue, an exploration, and a catalyst for transformation. By experiencing different viewpoints, participants developed empathy, enhanced creativity, and strengthened their confidence in self-expression, demonstrating again that drama is a valuable tool for education and advocacy.

We look forward to future workshops where creativity and activism intersect, enabling innovative approaches to engaging with important social issues through performance and movement.
